Classical Cryptography: Monoalphabetic, polyalphabetic, transposition, and product ciphers; Rotor machines.
Modern Cryptography: Block & stream ciphers; Feistel cipher; DES; 3-DES; Rjindael (AES): operation and implementation.
Public Key Encryption: Number Theory; Euler Totient Function; Chinese Remainder Theorem; Primality Testing: Miller- Rabin.
RSA: Algorithm, Implementation and Security.
Authentication: MAC and Hash functions; SHA-1: Implementation and Security; Difffie-Hellman Key Algorithm and Exchange; Digital signatures.
Kerberos and X.509 certificates.
SSL and IPSec.
Computer Malware, Network defences and IDS.
